Job Summary
Establishes in-bound and out-bound third-party freight agreements for enterprise. Supervises internal and external logistic operations for transportation of materials, including coordination of hauling and rigging requirements, and obtaining over-dimensional or overweight hauling permits. Assesses transportation requests, determines daily load requirements, optimizes routing, and assigns personnel and equipment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
8+ years related experience.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of concepts and applications of transportation theory.
- Full knowledge of transportation industry and marketplace.
- Management or supervisory experience.
- Full knowledge of, and prior experience with, total cost of ownership analysis.
- Experience in facilitating of cross-functional or multi-department teams, managing projects, and teaming.
- Demonstrated communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to develop and implement long-term strategic direction for transportation operations.
- Experience with SAP, preferred.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor

Could require working irregular or additional hours for project completion and on-call rotation.
Could require travel with overnight stays.
Must have a valid driver's license.
