Benefits

Dominion Energy has merged with SCANA Corporation (now officially known as Southeast Energy Group, or SEG). We’re one company now. However, while we’re working through our initial transition period, there are some differences in the benefits that are offered by the two groups.

Dominion Energy Benefits

At Dominion Energy, we care about our employees and offer a comprehensive total rewards package tailored to support employees’ career, health, and financial well-being. In addition to core benefits, we provide voluntary benefit options and a variety of perks for your work and life - including access to a credit union. Below are some highlights of what we offer. For full details, please visit dombenefits.com.

Medical & Prescription

Dominion Energy employees have access to three healthcare plans with a broad network of providers administered by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and Express Scripts for prescription drugs. In addition, employees can take advantage of the Well On Your Way wellness program, which offers free health coaching through WebMD Health Services to support personal health goals.

For managing out-of-pocket costs and planning ahead with tax-advantaged savings, employees enrolled in the high-deductible plan have access to a Health Savings Account (HSA), while Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) are available for both healthcare and dependent care expenses.

Dental & Vision

The dental plan is provided by MetLife and covers preventive care at 100%, as well as benefits for major services and orthodontia for both adults and dependent children. Vision coverage is offered through EyeMed, which includes benefits for eye exams, eyeglasses, and contact lenses, along with discounts on LASIK procedures.

Time Off

New employees accrue 120 hours of vacation per year, with 30 hours credited at the start of each quarter. Employees may borrow up to 30 hours from the upcoming quarter. Upon hire, employees are granted 26 weeks of paid sick time, including 40 hours of dependent care. Dominion Energy also provides 13 paid holidays per year.

Parental Leave & Family Planning Resources

Dominion Energy supports growing families by offering paid parental leave to eligible employees. Full-time employees may receive up to 160 hours of paid leave at 100% of their base salary to bond with a newborn, newly adopted, or fostered child.

To further support family planning, the company offers a Fertility Benefits Program that provides a benefit toward certain eligible fertility treatment expenses and related medications.

Dominion Energy also provides valuable resources to help employees, and their families thrive both at work and at home through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and the Employee Discount Center.

Retirement Plan

Dominion Energy employees contribute based on a % of eligible compensation to the Dominion Energy 401(k) Salaried Savings Plan.  The company provides a matching contribution and a non-elective, automatic employer contribution of 4-5% based on years of service.  The employee is always fully vested in his or her contributions and becomes 100% vested in company match and non-elective, automatic employer contributions after three years of service.

The employer matching contribution “matches” the % of salary contributions that the employee elects to make, up to either 4% or 5% depending on years of service.

The non-elective, automatic employer contribution of 4% or 5% will be contributed to the employee’s 401(k) savings plan account automatically, regardless of whether the employee makes their own salary contributions to the plan.

Education Assistance Program

The Education Assistance Program covers 100% of eligible tuition costs, required textbooks, and specific course-related fees - up to $7,500 per calendar year - while the Adoption Assistance Program provides up to $16,810 per child (with a maximum of two adoptions per family) to support qualifying adoption expenses.

Dominion Energy IBEW, Local 50 & IBEW, Locals 398 & 772 Union Represented Benefits

As outlined in the collective bargaining agreements, Dominion Energy union represented employees have access to medical, prescription, dental, and vision plans, as well as paid time off and financial wellness resources, including a 401(k)-retirement plan and credit union membership. Employees seeking additional details may contact their Local Union representative.
