We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

This role serves as an expert and strategic advisor to senior leadership to support business wide strategic financial initiatives.

The responsibilities for this role include:

  • Serves as the primary financial interface for business unit strategic and organizational initiatives and commercial analysis support, and financial software project implementation, as applicable.
  • Provides in-depth financial analysis, review and report-outs on current and future activities, including utilization of assembled financial data from multiple sources to facilitate modeling, risk analysis and summaries in producing management deliverables and business recommendations to drive actionable decision making, as appropriate.
  • Applies expert knowledge to utilize and/or produce analytical material for discussions with cross functional teams/business unit leadership teams to understand business objectives and/or processes and influence solution strategies
  • Serves as the business unit interface for diverse projects, to include capital investments, acquisitions or divestitures.
  • Utilizes expert financial/business unit technical knowledge to work with diverse teams on implementation and enhancements to financial planning systems, dashboards and any other technology enhancing tools, as applicable.
  • Provides overall financial guidance and management to the business unit leadership team and supports the development, implementation and monitoring of financial budgets, strategies and strategic plans, to include supporting business unit goals and objectives.
  • Consolidating and analyzing budget and forecast information while working with various business and support teams, internal and external.
    Possess relevant experience working closely with Tax, Accounting, Treasury, and Regulatory departments to understand complex financial matters, which may include partnership activity, and ability to train and influence others.
  • Experience working with Investor Relations teams to support external messaging related to financial activity.
  • Experience implementing new processes or systems to support new business activity and complex business transactions between internal and external parties. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

8-10+ years of directly related experience.  Note:  A Master's degree will count as one year of experience.

Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:

  • Expertise and knowledge of financial management and analysis, accounting standards and practices, i.e. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, FERC, SEC accounting
  • Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis and financial modeling.
  • Experience with problem solving/critical thinking in such areas as data analytics, financial and operational business improvement.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel, macros, PowerPoint, SAP, and other like data bases (i.e. Power Plan, Business Warehouse), or data warehousing tools.
  • Excellent leadership, organization and interpersonal skills
    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills including demonstrated ability to gather, review and analyze data and prepare business recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct financial risk analysis
    Demonstrated ability to be customer-focused in a large organization. 
  • Excellent ability to work under own initiative and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to self-start and work on new initiatives that may be in an unstructured environment, and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Team player, with the ability to contribute to team culture and morale and collaborate with multiple teams.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
