We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
Dominion Energy is looking to hire Financial Analysts or Senior Financial Analysts to join our Metrics & Data Strategy team in Richmond, VA. There are multiple positions available which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates' education, experience, knowledge skills, and abilities.
The incumbents in these roles will collaborate across teams to provide data, reporting, and analytical support to Dominion Energy Virginia’s (DEV) Finance organization.
Duties may include the following:
- Development of consolidated data, financial calculation and metrics, and reporting used in the analytics of DEV Finance
- Project focused work in collaboration with various Finance teams to determine targeted data needs, assist in reporting design, and provide technical assistance
- Validate department-wide data sets and financials against source systems
- Identify, recommend, and implement continuous improvement and process transparency
- Assist in required monthly financial closing processes, regulated filing submissions or interrogatories, and other Finance related functions as needed
- Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as requested or assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Financial Analyst:
- 2-3+ years of directly related experience in Accounting, Finance, Accounting or Financial Planning Systems, Business IT Systems, or another related field
- Minimum Software Experience: Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Preferred Software Experience (in at least one):
- Advanced Excel (VBA), Power Query, or similar
- Power BI or Tableau
- Oracle/Access/or other Database and SQL experience
- Accounting or Financial Planning systems such as SAP, Anaplan, Hyperion, EPBCS or similar
- Other cloud computing or data tools such as Snowflake, Alteryx, etc.
- Knowledge: General financial planning and analysis concepts, general accounting standards and practices, utility and/or relevant industry knowledge
- Demonstrated competency in identifying and solving problems, and in logical and analytical thinking
- Good organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
- Team player, analytical and customer focus skills
- Aptitude for continuous learning
Senior Financial Analyst:
- 5-6+ years of directly related experience in Accounting, Finance, Accounting or Financial Planning Systems, Business IT Systems, or Other Related Field
- Minimum Software Experience: Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Preferred Software Experience (Strong experience in at least one):
- Advanced Excel (VBA), Power Query, or similar
- Power BI or Tableau
- Oracle/Access/or other Database and SQL experience
- Accounting or Financial Planning systems such as SAP, Anaplan, Hyperion, EPBCS or similar
- Other cloud computing or data tools such as Snowflake, Alteryx, etc.
- Experience in financial management and analysis, accounting standards and practices required
- Experience with financial modeling and scenario analysis
- Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Utility and/or relevant industry experience preferred
Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months of experience will be rounded up to one year.
