Job Summary
Responsibilities include managing waste shipping records (i.e. records for hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, PCB, and recyclable wastes and materials), report preparation, invoice processing and management, and purchase order management. This position will assist with projects related to waste minimization, solid waste management or similar environmental programs. In addition, this position will participate in data analysis, problem analysis, and assist with developing waste compliance strategies. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
0-3 years relevant experience. (Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of experience of six months or more will be rounded up to one year).
Other related knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience include:
- Good working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental waste regulations.
- Good working knowledge of environmental operating permits and regulations specific to the work site, if responsible for contracted assets.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, experience with SAP is a plus.
- Logic and reasoning skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternatives, conclusions, or approaches.
- Respectful assertiveness, to ensure environmental compliance requirements are met by others, while considering the spirit and letter of the law.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, to interface with internal stakeholders effectively.

Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related environmental experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
Related environmental experience in lieu of degree (i.e. 4 years of related environmental experience plus high school diploma, 2 years of related environmental experience plus associate degree)
