Job Summary
Dominion is seeking an Associate Business Systems Analyst in Dominion Energy’s ITBA DES & Enterprise Applications department. This position will provide support to our Supply Chain SAP team. The individual in this position will provide support for internal customers, and their applications/processes including second level HelpLine support. This SAP Functional team position will work with and provide support to ITBA business areas encompassing all of Supply Chain and Shared Services. This individual will also be assigned to support client IT projects, and enhancements. This position is critical to the ITBA DES department in supporting the current and planned workload for Shared Services. Perform other duties as assigned.
Assists in identifying opportunities to apply technologies to business processes, through researching and fact-finding. Role is established in the Information Technology function. Analyzes business and user needs, documents requirements, and revises existing system logic difficulties, as necessary, under direction of experienced Business System Analysts. Works with an individual business unit on specific project assignments. Work is closely checked, and errors may cause minor delay or expense. Perform other duties as requested or assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
1-2+ years related IT experience, having a basic understanding of business systems, and industry requirements.
- Familiar with P2P process, vendor charge entry systems, SAP Fiori and plant code creation.
- Demonstrated ability to research and understand issues and troubleshoot to find root cause through logical and analytical thinking.
- Ability to provide second and third level support for inquiries submitted to the IT Help Line; utilize Quality Center for documenting and tracking work requests, and use of Service Now for Helpline related requests.
- Demonstrated self-starter, collaborator, great communicator, and team player.
- Demonstrated ability to research and understand issues and troubleshoot to find root cause through logical and analytical thinking.
- Ability to provide second and third level support for inquiries submitted to the IT Help Line; utilize Quality Center for documenting and tracking work requests, and use of Service Now for Helpline related requests.
- Demonstrated self-starter, collaborator, great communicator, and team player.
- Ability to establish and maintain confidence in the IT teams’ knowledge of and concern for the customer’s business needs.
- Ability to manage work and perform various duties including projects, and day to day support.
- Ability to establish and maintain customer trust and ability to work with business partners through verbal, written and interpersonal communications.
- Growth toward and learning capabilities to work with clients to gather requirements, develop technical specifications, configuration, unit/regression testing, and performing change management activities.
Technical Knowledge (strongly preferred):
- Experience with IT systems.
- General awareness of process and application integration options.
- Advanced adherence to formal testing techniques/methodology, consistently delivering work product/deliverables.
- Adherence to formal Change Management Policies.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
