Military Fellowship Program
The Dominion Energy Military Fellowship Program is a corporate internship which aligns with the Department of Defense SkillBridge program. SkillBridge authorization allows eligible servicemembers with command approval to participate in corporate internships as their place of duty up to 180 days prior to separation. Dominion Energy Military Fellowship positions align with the company’s workforce needs and Military Fellows may be considered for full-time opportunities upon successful completion of their fellowship.
Servicemember Requirements
To enroll in a corporate internship while still on active duty, the servicemember must be able to meet eligibility compliance and receive command approval. Once an internship offer has been extended, the servicemember may proceed in routing a completed program application for command awareness and approval. The internship cannot commence until you are 180 days or less from your separation date (i.e., EAOS, EAS).
Have met all instructional criteria outlined in DODI 1322.29, and relevant Service instructions.
Obtain command approval to participate (i.e., signature required on Intern Application).
Provide final notification of command approval to the Employer.
Job Summary
Dominion Energy’s Military Fellowship Program is a Department of Defense SkillBridge approved program. Fellowship opportunities are aligned with our long-term workforce needs and provide transitioning servicemembers with meaningful, hands-on experience that may lead to full-time employment upon separation from the military. Fellowship durations may vary and can extend up to 180 days, based on mutual agreement between the selected servicemember and their military command.
SUPPLY MANAGEMENT
Dominion Energy’s Supply Management organization performs the following functions, among other related tasks in support of the company’s business.
- Performs supply chain and logistics functions including materials and service procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, category management, vendor selection, and distribution.
- Creates integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers.
- Establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.
- Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.
- Prepares bids or requests for proposals (RFPs), including specifications and requirements; negotiates contract terms and participates in the determination of acceptable bids.

Opportunities in our Supply Management organization may be located across the company’s footprint based on where there may be full-time workforce needs. These may include our corporate office locations and our generating stations and field operations locations.
Fellowship opportunities may include but are not limited to the following categories. Level of full-time opportunities will also vary based on workforce needs:
Materials Management: Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules. Compiles data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements.
Sourcing: Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use as a generalist or in a combination of supply management disciplines.
Transportation: Analyzes transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and economical delivery of the organization's products. Reviews proposals and makes recommendations for modifications in rates and transportation regulations. Evaluates freight classifications, tariff rates and operating efficiency to ensure the proper delivery of products. Plans and coordinates fleet operations, including acquisition, scheduling, maintenance service and repair, and disposal of trucks, and hires common carriers (third-party transportation companies) as appropriate.
Warehouse/Logistics: Administers and operates the organization's warehouses, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment. Accounts for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities and audits goods received into the warehouses. Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures. Prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space. Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.

Education Requirements
