Job Summary

Nuclear Scheduler

Responsible for completing tasks associated with the development, scheduling, and coordination of project schedules, daily, on-line maintenance and outage schedules. Interfaces with planners, senior schedulers, associated craft coordinators, unit outage coordinators, and work week coordinators to update and prepare an integrated online maintenance and/or outage schedule. Attends daily update/planning meeting as needed. Downloads automated work orders and LAN reports to transfer data to scheduling software. Revises scheduled activities for work departments, Work Week Manager, and Unit Outage Coordinators. Utilizes scheduling techniques, practices and established criteria to develop, maintain, analyze, and evaluate station schedules. Analyzes critical path impacts based on schedule changes. Supports operations by producing logic diagrams, customized schedules and reports. When supporting the outage group, prepares outage analysis data during the outage and for the final outage reports.

 

Senior Nuclear Scheduler

Serves as the principal or lead scheduler in the review of station logs, reports, plant issues in helping to provide a broad overview of plant maintenance, operations focus, emergent work and outage scheduling activities. Performs a variety of tasks associated with the development, scheduling, and coordination of project schedules, daily, on-line maintenance and outage schedules. Coordinates and integrates all outage and/or on-line schedules to include the scheduling of process controls and updates for future schedules. Works closely with Work Week Managers, and operations management to update, modify, maintain and prepare an integrated online maintenance schedule. Schedule according to logic developed by the Online Coordinators and Operations and adjusts schedule logic while maintaining data integrity and safe plant operations. Continuously monitors and revises scheduled activities for work departments and Work Week Managers. Utilizes scheduling techniques, practices and established criteria to develop, maintain, analyze, and evaluate station schedules. Develops and implements trending of critical and near critical path activities and makes recommendations. Produces resource histograms as required. Analyzes critical path impacts based on schedule changes. Supports operations by creating and updating time scaled logic and bar chart diagrams, customized schedules and reports. Provides data needed to support Fleet and station performance indicators. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

Nuclear Scheduler

2+ years directly related experience demonstrating working knowledge of craft specialty and/or nuclear operations, as well as experience preparing maintenance (PM/CM/Outage) schedules.

In lieu of preferred related Associate's degree, may substitute High School diploma/GED and 4+ years of directly related experience.

Previous work experience in project planning and work management. Proficiency in schedule analysis, with experience in the use of a computer, spreadsheet applications and on-line scheduling software (Primavera P6 strongly preferred). Some experience working with LAN-based project scheduling tools. Demonstrated ability to transfer data between various applications and platforms. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work. Good communication skills and demonstrated experience through effective interaction with various levels of employees and management. Basic negotiation skills required to address work priorities. Demonstrates analytical and abstract thinking skills. Demonstrates good problem-solving abilities. Ability to process information quickly. Demonstrates attention to detail.

 

Senior Nuclear Scheduler

5+ years directly related experience demonstrating advanced knowledge of craft specialty and/or nuclear operations, as well as experience preparing maintenance (PM/CM/Outage) schedules.

In lieu of preferred related Associate's degree, may substitute High School diploma/GED and 7+ years of directly related experience.

Considerable knowledge and work experience in project planning and work management. Knowledge of company software and systems used for scheduling outages. Proficiency in Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule analysis, with considerable experience in the use of a computer, spreadsheet applications and on-line scheduling software (Primavera P6 strongly preferred). Proven ability to prepare and present technical information and data in a variety of formats. Previous experience working with LAN-based project scheduling tools. Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work of self and others, and ability to work in a fast paced environment. Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience through effective interaction with various levels of employees and management. Demonstrates strong analytical and abstract thinking skills, good problem solving skills, and skill in determining the impact of changing variables on plant operations. Ability to process information and make decisions quickly in a fast paced environment. Detail-oriented.
