Job Summary

This individual performs independent assessments of program activities, primarily in his or her area of expertise, but may be asked to assess other activities at other locations or corporate. This includes independent assessment of: Nuclear plant management, processes, procedures, maintenance & operations protocols and practices, engineering processes and programs.  Nuclear support functions including performance improvement.  Performs continuous assessment of management and organizational effectiveness for station and corporate groups and for fleet activities relative to both regulatory requirements and industry standards of excellence.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

-A minimum of ten years applicable nuclear plant or corporate support experience is required.  
-Current or prior RO, SRO, STA license or certification and current or prior qualification to perform Nuclear Safety Reviews or equivalent technical reviews is required.
-This individual must possess a broad knowledge of nuclear plant operational activities including significant experience related to Operations and associated Ops programs implementation.  
-Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.  
-Experience with desktop and enterprise software used for report writing, data base maintenance, and development of presentations.  
-Knowledge of other activities, such as nuclear plant maintenance, or other support activities is preferred.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines:  Engineering

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Current or prior SRO or STA license or certification, Shift Technical Advisor qualification, current or prior qualification to perform Nuclear Safety Reviews or equivalent technical reviews. Knowledge of other activities, such as nuclear plant maintenance, operations or other support activities.
