Job Summary
We are currently seeking highly motivated students for an internship during the summer of 2025 to work in the Electrical/I&C group of the Nuclear Design Engineering department. This position is located at Dominion’s Millstone Nuclear Power Station in Waterford, CT.
The Design Engineering intern may be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties related to engineering changes that support the long-term reliability of Millstone station:
- Develop Engineering Technical Evaluations for configuration management
- Review programmable computer logic
- Perform design and licensing basis searches and develop summaries
- Review implementation work orders
- Mark up connection drawings in support of design development.
- Project assignments will be made based on completed coursework. Tasks will be mentored by experienced engineers
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired. Proficiency in MS Excel with Macros is preferred.
- Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid engineering skills, commensurate with grade level.
- Good communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer skills.
- An inquisitive nature, an ability to follow written and verbal directions, and strong professional ethics
- Knowledge of programming and analysis is preferred.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be a student studying Engineering at an ABET accredited 4-year college or university
- Preferred major: Electrical Engineering
- Student must have an anticipated graduation of December 2025 or later
- Student must have a 2.5 GPA or higher
