Job Summary
Dominion Energy is seeking a team player for the position of Laborer to work at our Bath County Power Station.
The ideal candidates preferred to have power station or industrial/process industry experience or industrial laborer experience. In all cases, applicants should be continuous learners as well as possess high standards of performance, safety and professionalism.
Duties include:
- Mowing, snow removal, support general housekeeping and maintenance duties inside and outside the power house in all types of weather.
- Handling and transport of on site materials while maintaining environmental compliance.
- Cleaning oil spills.
- Performing routine inspection of fire system equipment.
- Maintaining all Laborer’s equipment.
- Inside/outside trash removal and pickup.
- Assisting all departments daily as needed.
- Other duties assigned as requested.
Starting pay is $17.81/hr.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- 0-2 years experience
- Must have valid driver's license
- Class B CDL is preferred
- Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors in inclement weather
- Good physical ability and agility: the position requires an incumbent to stand, sit, walk, carry, bend, crawl, reach, squat, climb, and to push/pull with arms/legs and body, climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to lift approx. 50/lbs
- Ability to work in confined spaces and close quarters
- Ability to wear a respitaror
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Must pass the EEI Plant Maintenance (MASS) or EEI Operators Selection System (POSS) Test
- Preferred: Experience operating heavy equipment (ex. Forklift, skid steer, tractor, snow plow)
Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or more rounds to one full year of qualifications.
