Job Summary

Responsible for the supervision and leadership of a a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, specialists and engineers (staff) to ensure the development, facilitation and maintenance of processes and tools necessary to implement and support the station corrective action program, self-assessment program, operating experience program, benchmarking and oversight of station metrics. Works with staff to design and implement initiatives to resolve plant issues and to identify adverse trends requiring management attention. Provides direction to staff, facilitating and coaching subordinates in support of the following: Cause Analysis, Self-Assessment, Station Trending, PAMS, Operating Experience, Station Key Performance Indicators, INPO activities, Change Management, Corrective Action processing and Projects. Develops and maintains business relationships with internal and external customers. Ensures that functional areas of responsibilities are administered in a cost-effective manner and IAW established internal controls. Stimulates and supports the self-assessment and prompt resolution of identified departmental issues. Supervises work group personnel development, training and performance management. Responsible for monitoring annual budget expenditures for the group and adhering to budget parameters. Supervises work group personal development, training and performance management. Resolves employee concerns in a competent, respectful and responsive manner. Fosters and creates a Safety Conscious Work Environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

-7+ years (with preferred Bachelor's degree) working knowledge of nuclear power plant design criteria, regulations, procedure compliance, operations, maintenance requirements, technical specifications, audits, surveillance and performance monitoring activities in the facilitation of the corrective action program and it relates to the operation and technical aspects of a nuclear power plant. 

-In lieu of preferred related Bachelor's degree, may substitute related Associate's degree and 9+ years of directly related experience or High School diploma/GED and 11+ years of directly related experience that demonstrates knowledge of relevant fundamental theories, principles and concepts.

-Must possess strong skills necessary to perform complex cause and effect analysis, causal analysis and reporting. 

-Demonstrates ability to accurately identify plant problems and recommend corrective action based on scientific research and analysis. 

-Demonstrates leadership skills and ability to supervise teams or work groups, use information effectively, and motivate subordinate staff.

-Good team building skills, with demonstrated supervisory or leadership capabilities.

-Effective communication skills, ability to interact with a variety of internal and external contacts to include peers and other members of the plant management team and to interface well through multiple communication paths at the power station.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor
