Job Summary

Supervise and administer all corrective actions for maintenance in accordance with corporate, state, and local agencies. Direct daily activities of employees in the Maintenance Department. Monitor tasks of employees during and after completion to verify they are performed in accordance with station policies and procedures. Assist planning in developing daily work schedules and outage schedules. Direct and provide guidance to Maintenance Supervisors in the proper execution of their responsibilities. Maintain the plant mechanical or electrical systems to assure safe and efficient operation of equipment. Maintain Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance department budget. Supervise the implementation of system design changes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

-7+ years directly related experience (with preferred Bachelor's degree), including at least 4 years of experience in craft or discipline to be supervised. 

-In lieu of preferred related Bachelor's degree, may substitute related Associate's degree and 9+ years of directly related experience (including at least 4 years experience in craft or discipline to be supervised), or High School diploma/GED and 11+ years of directly related experience (including at least 4 years experience in craft or discipline to be supervised).

Special requirements: 
1) During the years of nuclear power plant experience, the individual shall have participated in supervision or management activities at a nuclear power plant during the following periods: 
(a) Surveillance, testing, and calibration of instruments and controls during initial fueling or refueling needed for the instrumentation and control middle manager, 
(b) Preoperational, post refueling, or initial startup testing, 
(c) 1 month of operation above 20% power, 
(d) 2 months during a maintenance outage.

Other required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience:

-Must have nuclear supervisory or management experience;
-Strong experience with and understanding of plant systems;
-Strong written and oral communication skills;
-Good organizational skills;
-Demonstrated effective skills in influencing, persuading and negotiating;
-Computer proficiency. Must be proficient with the following software: Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Maximo and SAP;
-Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet deadlines; apply good business judgment; apply analytical abilities to diverse issues; understand and respond to customer needs;
-Ability to lead personnel to safely and efficiently execute work;
-Ability to organize resources to achieve station goals;
-Demonstrates high level of ownership for their responsibilities, persists through adversity, and follows through with commitments. Acts with bias for action to challenge and correct behaviors and promote high standards of performance;
-Demonstrates high integrity, safety, professionalism, and appropriate behavior driven results;
-Proactively communicates information and decisions to personnel and station leaders in a manner that is honest, direct and meaningful;
-Demonstrates and promotes a clear bias for action to resolve issues while exhibiting sound judgment and conservative decision making;
-Maintains appropriate oversight of his/her personnel and team members and acts promptly to provide direction when necessary.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines:  Engineering or related science

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014, Section 4.3.4 
Education requirements: Associates degree in engineering or related science. 
Minimum experience for the position: 
Related experience which shall include 4 yrs; Nuclear power plant experience to include 2 yrs; 
Supervisory or Management experience to include 1 yr. 
Special requirements:

Note: Dominion Energy minimum requirements may exceed stated ANSI standards and candidates must meet the Dominion Energy minimum requirements.
