Job Summary

Surry Power Station's Finance & Business Services Team is seeking an Intern to support the yearly budgeting process. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the development of the O&M budget
  • Evaluating business system processes for data collection and reporting
  • Partnering with analysts to identify methods to improve financial reporting efficiency and/or enhance internal accounting controls.
  • Participating in monthly variance and forecasting review of O&M data


Opportunities for the Intern include:

  • Developing of computer and analytical skills
  • Contributing to team’s performance efficiency
  • Learning from interactions with Nuclear Finance & Business Services internal and external customers

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Applicants must be pursuing a bachelors degree majoring in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related degree
  • Must have a minimal cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Qualified candidates must have an anticipated graduation of spring 2023 or later
  • Applicants should possess an interest in financial analysis and strategic planning as well as have strong communication skills.
  • Applications with Access database and Excel experience are highly preferred.
