Job Summary
There is one position which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
This role analyzes, develops, implements and evaluates performance based technical training programs. Maintains technical subject matter expertise and understanding of current business processes. Acts as subject matter expert in Nuclear Employee Training.
This role will be required to fulfill a role on the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and provide outage support.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above/below).
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:
Associate Instructor: 0 - 2 years of prior related nuclear or educational experience is required.
Instructor: 2+ years of prior related nuclear or educational experience is required.
Ability to use training software applications critical to the job requirements, including LMS, VISION, NANTeL, PADS, etc. Prior experience using these training software applications is preferred.
Previous experience delivering instruction/training in a lab, classroom, or computer-based setting is preferred.
Knowledge of company organization and operations areas.
Understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design.
Full competency in skills related to specific job area.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Problem solving skills.
Time management skills.
Good personal computer skills.
Ability to present material in an understandable way to large and small groups.
Ability to analyze and organize information and develop training programs and classes.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment used by the target audience.
Ability to train and lead others.
Ability to process information and questions quickly and develop answers.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Discipline Education
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred disciplines(s) listed above.
A High school or GED is required.
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
North Anna and Surry must meet ANS 3.1 12/79, (Section 4.4.7.2) Candidates for Instructor positions in Nuclear at Innsbrook must meet ANSI/ANS 3.1 1993, Section 4.5.4
