Job Summary

Assist in the implementation of well (surface and down hole) permitting process. Assist Drilling, Completion, and Operation Departments with required filings. Monitor and apply for upcoming operations procedures. Negotiate and secure landowner right-of-way agreements. Ensure compliance with Federal and State Government Agency requirements. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with city, county, state, tribal, and federal governmental regulatory personnel. Participate in industry working groups as they relate to the needs of the company. Assist in the management of regulatory well records.

 

Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

  • Knowledge of and ability to use personal computer and related software to meet department needs;
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of job specific applications of oil and gas federal and state regulatory agency rules and regulations;
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of job specific applications of new oil or gas well permitting process;
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, and draw conclusions;
  • Ability to plan and organize work;
  • Ability to develop and give presentations

Education Requirements

  • Must be a full-time student currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Associates degree
    • Preference for students with classes in Regulatory Affairs
  • Must have an anticipated graduation date of Winter 2019 or later
  • Must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater
