We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
The Technical Security Coordinator will be responsible for managing the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of security systems and equipment for numerous facilities across the Dominion Energy footprint. The Senior role is distinguished from the mid-level role by its work on larger projects to include the technical security designs and implementation at Dominion Energy-owned and affiliated Renewable Energy facilities nationwide (Renewable Gas, Solar, Wind). There is one position available which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates' education, experience, knowledge skills, and abilities.
Mid-level Specific duties include:
- Managing contracted services during the installation of security systems throughout the enterprise.
- Monitoring preventive maintenance contractor work for quality and compliance.
- Designing security applications and systems to accomplish desired security profile at company facilities.
- Developing technical security solutions based upon security assessments.
- Developing work scope for contracted technical services.
- Working with Supply Chain Management to leverage purchasing for maximum benefit to the company.
- Managing and tracking contractor costs and ensuring timely payment.
- Developing and maintaining minimum technical security standards for company facilities.
- Monitoring performance of systems and ensuring preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
- Instructing user groups in the operation and testing of security systems and equipment.
- Procuring and keeping inventories of all equipment required for installations.
- Scheduling installation through coordination with affected parties.
- Making consistent determinations of best practice technical security applications that have significant financial, legal, and operational impact to the company.
- Facilitating integration of security systems throughout the enterprise.
- Maintaining the integrity of automated security systems, including desktop applications and servers.
- The role may have Non-Dominion Energy Workers (NDEWs) report to them.
Senior Specific duties include:
- Providing support, guidance, and resources to more junior Technical Security Coordinators
- Managing contracted services during the installation of security systems throughout the enterprise
- Monitoring preventive maintenance contractor work for quality and compliance
- Designing security applications and systems to accomplish desired security profile at company facilities
- Developing technical security solutions based upon security assessments
- Developing work scope for contracted technical services
- Working with Supply Chain Management to leverage purchasing for maximum benefit to the company
- Managing and tracking contractor costs and ensuring timely payment
- Developing and maintaining minimum technical security standards for company facilities

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Mid-level: 2-3+ years directly related work experience (with preferred Bachelor's degree) or 5+ years directly related work experience (with Associate's degree).
Senior: 5+ years directly related work experience (with preferred Bachelor's degree) or 7+ years directly related work experience (with Associate's degree).
- Demonstrates mastery of the full suite of Video Management and Access Control systems used by Dominion Energy and supported by the Technical Security Team;
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Dominion Energy business units that the Technical Security Team serves;
- Comprehensive knowledge and ability to apply complex security principles and concepts to support access control, intrusion detection, visitor identification, event monitoring and countermeasures;
- Strong ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, with internal and external customers to provide customer with clear understanding of technical security practices and approaches impacting customer operations;
- Advanced skills and experience in dealing with specific issues associated with providing security at an energy company, to include critical infrastructure protection;
- Demonstrable critical thinking skills in a Security environment;
- Strong knowledge of IT networking principles;
- Ability to obtain government-issued security clearance, as required.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Information Technology, Security (focus on Physical Security systems, Access Control systems and Compliance)
