We offer a hybrid work schedule (one week in the office, one week of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

As a key member of the Data Analytics Platform Support Team, the Systems Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the infrastructure and data platforms that power our data products, business intelligence (BI), big data, and AI/ML solutions. This role demands a high level of technical expertise and independence in managing complex projects across multiple platforms and business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert support for BI platforms including Power BI and Cognos.
  • Lead and execute application systems analysis across all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Define system scope and objectives based on user requirements and business goals.
  • Develop and refine procedures to solve complex challenges, considering system capabilities, operational constraints, and desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on multi-project assignments in diverse technical environments.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Mentor and guide junior Systems Analysts, sharing best practices and technical insights.

Job Duties:

  • End to End Administration of BI platforms such as Power BI and Cognos
  • Assist in the planning, design, development of new analytical applications, as well as enhancements to existing applications.
  • Meet with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
  • Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
  • Document standards and procedures for various analytic platforms.
  • Develop test cases and validate test results.
  • Coaches and transfers knowledge to less experienced team members.
  • Proficiently performs assignments having the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience needed to carry out all aspects of the job
  • Exercises independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing and conducting work assignments.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in programming or systems analysis.
  • At least 2 years of experience administering and developing solutions using Power BI and Cognos platforms.
  • Experience with effectively converting Cognos solutions to Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including query optimization techniques.
  • Solid experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, including data marts, star schema, and dimensional modeling.
  • Proficient in data analysis and scripting tools such as R and Python.
  • Strong documentation skills to support system design, development, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities in complex, multi-platform environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience interacting with diverse business and IT teams.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s): Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics
