Job Summary

Join the team at Castlewood in an exciting role! This position leads the Castlewood Central Warehouse and the Rubber Goods team. The Central Warehouse operates as a hub-and-spoke model with Castlewood operating as the hub to 34 district office spokes, as well as major projects in Power Delivery. The Warehouse team is responsible for receiving, handling, storing picking and shipping Power Delivery materials from hardware up to equipment. The Rubber Goods team inspects and electrically tests gloves, sleeves, mats and heavy line goods for groups across the company, including line workers, solar workers, and soon to include offshore wind workers. This team provides a critical safety function for all of our colleagues who work on energized equipment with Dominion Energy-provided rubber goods to protect them.

This leader position works directly with leaders in Power Delivery and the Services company on daily business and during outages and special projects, and also for strategic opportunities to improve supply chain functions, such as warehouse mobility. Cultivating a culture of Safety and Environmental Compliance is critical in this position.

Additional roles: manages inventory investment for the business unit, facilitates communications and strategic planning of materials and logistics operations, strives to improve supplier delivery performance and reduce lead times. Manages logistics operations related to material planning, material requests, receipts and issues, bills of materials, transfers, and returns. Investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies. Interfaces with internal customers and external vendors.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and education required for this job include the following:

  • 7+ years related experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of materials planning, inventory management theory, and inventory management techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse processes, methods, and systems.
  • Full knowledge of material accounting practices.
  • Experience managing union workers.
  • Experience with physical movement of materials including put away, safe storage, and retrieval.
  • Experience with receipting and issue activities,  
  • Experience with cycle counting processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and previous experience with, warehouse management and inventory control systems.
  • Knowledge of techniques used to establish safety stock.
  • Full knowledge of, and experience with, process analysis and improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with electric distribution planning and systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated communication and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated teaming skills.
  • Ability to perform inventory analysis and manage inventory investment.
  • Proven ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6 plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined above.
