We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Job Summary
This supervisory role combines the responsibilities of Metering Engineering & Planning with AMI Meter Solutions. It carries supervisory responsibility for the development of metering and measurement standards, specifications for new applications, and long-term plans for Automated Metering Infrastructure, revenue and load research metering requirements. Responsible for the purchase and coordination of the installation of metering equipment, load study equipment, metrics, analysis, reporting and strategy to support the metering function. Major duties include:-Supervises the engineering, specification and evaluation of new metering products including electromechanical and solid state devices.-Recommends and coordinate the purchase of meters and associated equipment based on technical evaluations.-Provides technical support pertaining to metering applications to applicable Business Units.-Provides cost estimates for metering equipment for various load research studies, end-use studies, and new rate developments.-Supervises the development and maintenance of installation and test procedures for metering products and associated equipment-Coordinates and monitor resources required to perform the single phase meter sample test and periodic meter tests.
AMI Meter Solutions. Works with all Company and external stakeholders in the development, design, and implementation of advanced metering initiatives. Assist in developing business cases, strategic scenarios, business, and communication plans. Assist in the preparation and responding to applicable regulatory filings and inquiries. Play an active role in vendor management and effective customer communications. Supervise the reporting of key metrics including vendor performance, system performance, deployment progress, safety, and capability developments. Work with key internal stakeholders, peer utilities, and industry experts to keep abreast of industry developments. Support identification and development of grid modernization activities that utilize metering capabilities including grid operations, asset management, analytics, outage management, and customer preferences. Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop energy information requirements for execution of capabilities. Supervise the build out of AMI assets and communications networks to ensure communication and performance standards are met. Supervise the identification, evaluation and resolution of AMI and core metering technical and communication anomalies. Infrastructure, Systems and Meter Data Management. Make recommendations for procurement, performance, operation, and maintenance of the communication network for AMI systems. Supervise the operation, maintenance, and integration of metering systems (AMI head-end, Meter Data Management, etc.). Assist leadership to ensure infrastructure and systems provide meter data to meet needs of business processes and stakeholders.

7+ years of relevant experience desired with degree.
Expert knowledge of metering applications.
Full knowledge of metering technology.
Full knowledge of electronic and electrical theories and techniques.
Full knowledge of company policies and procedures.
Effective oral and written communications skills. Basic computer and application skills.
Strong leadership skills. Analytical and strategic thinker.
Ability to solve problems. Knowledge of Six Sigma processes preferred
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
