We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

This role can be filled at the mid level or at the senior level.

Under the oversight of the Director responsible for strategic enterprise risk, this role facilitates business continuity plans and policy, crisis response plans and policy, pandemic plans and policy and Strategic Risk Management (SRM) activities of Dominion Energy and its major business units and prepares annual risk assessment reports for Dominion Energy's executives and board of directors. Under the oversight of the Director, facilitates the annual updating and exercising (testing) of Dominion Energy key organizational area crisis response plans and business continuity plans. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Performs analyses and reviews of organizational unit and business continuity plans to ensure plans follow a proven, consistent, and effective approach to crisis/business continuity response and communications.
  • Updates Dominion Energy's business continuity policy and procedures, coordinates Dominion Energy business continuity plan updates, and facilitates exercising of Dominion Energy business continuity plans and business continuity plan training;
  • Collaborates with business continuity plan owners to ensure there is consistency with the crisis plan approach, actions, and communications;
  • Collaborates with business continuity plan owners in prioritizing and addressing deficiencies that have been noted during practice exercises;
  • Leads strategic improvements in Dominion Energy’ business continuity plan program over time.
  • Facilitates Dominion Energy's SRM activities including Dominion Energy major business unit risk assessment sessions;
  • Prepares updates to be presented to Dominion Energy's board of directors and executive management on major risks and mitigation measures including a general overview of recent SRM activities;
  • Performs analyses and reviews relating to SRM; Coordinates Dominion Energy key organization area crisis management plan updates, and facilitates exercising of Dominion Energy key organization area crisis management plans;
  • Collaborates with crisis plan owners to ensure there is consistency with the crisis plan approach, actions, and communications;
  • Collaborates with crisis plan owners in prioritizing and addressing deficiencies that have been noted during practice exercises; Leads strategic improvements in Dominion Energy’ s crisis management plan program over time.
  • Manages policy, process and procedures for use and exercise of the Executive Briefing Room (EBR) including planning drills and trains EBR support personnel on process and procedures.
  • Maintains policy and procedures for Corporate pandemic plan and oversees updates to company pandemic plans.
  • Maintains relationship with state health officials and assists with coordination of pandemic response efforts such as vaccine clinics.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):

  • Strategic Risk Management Coordinator: 2-3+ years of related experience
  • Senior Strategic Risk Management Coordinator: 5+ years related experience

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Good knowledge of enterprise risk management principles, crisis management, business continuity, emergency management, security plans, and general company emergency practices;
  • Skills in relating interpersonally with officers, directors, managers, supervisors, and other employees
  • Ability to assess risks and to prepare reports using the prescribed format and conforming to all rules of grammar and punctuation
  • Knowledge of general company business process flows
  • Knowledge of general safety and construction practices
  • Ability to coordinate and facilitate crisis response plan activities;
  • Strong personal computer skills required to store and retrieve documents, prepare quality presentations and reports, record feedback and results, and make recommendations for enhancements;
  • Ability to use multi-media equipment;
  • Ability to provide leadership in a team environment;
  • Ability to present information to key employees in an organized and effective manner;
  • Ability to function independently and to understand when management review and approval is required
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing;
  • Ability to gather information, analyze, and resolve issues effectively;
  • Ability to provide instruction to others and to effectively collaborate with supervision on follow-up assignments to identify and correct deficiencies noted.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines:  Business, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Homeland Security, Information Technology
