Job Summary

This role focuses on the development, implementation, and analysis needed for Dominion Energy's executive compensation and benefits programs including base salaries, annual incentives, equity compensation, retirement plans, and other executive benefit programs.

Specific responsibilities include:
 

  • Analyzes and prepares schedules relating to executive compensation; participates in compensation and benefit related surveys; and resolves issues relating to executive compensation and benefits.
  • Gathers and analyzes peer group company compensation and benefit information in order to analyze and compare to Dominion Energy's executive compensation and benefit programs. Prepares executive retirement estimates and pay-out calculations for payments under the executive benefit programs and reviews retirement estimates with the executive or their financial planners.
  • Works with Executive Compensation leadership on the Sarbanes/Oxley control process, frozen deferred compensation plan administration, executive life insurance program and financial planning/health and wellness program.  
  • Ensuring that all executive payments are made accurately and timely.
  • Preparing, reviewing and submitting schedules, exhibits and footnotes to be included in the company's annual proxy statement, 10K and 10-Q reports. Preparing schedules and responses upon receipt of rate case inquiries.
  • Responding to questions from executives and company personnel regarding executive compensation and benefit programs.
  • Handling payment of invoices to outside vendors and executive benefit programs which are the responsibility of the Executive Compensation Department.
  • May assist with preparing schedules and exhibits for the Compensation& Talent Development Committee of the Board.
  • May provide input and recommendations relating to current executive benefit programs and offers ideas and suggestions on new executive programs.
  • Working closely with the Manager-Executive Compensation Department on executive compensation issues, assignments, projects and requests.

 
Note:  There is one position which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Senior Executive Compensation and Benefits Analyst

Minimum 5+ years relevant experience in executive compensation, human resources, accounting, audit or related field.  Note:  A Master's degree will count as one year of experience.  A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year of experience.

Strong knowledge of compensation and benefit programs and policies.
Strong knowledge of accounting practices and procedures as related to compensation and benefit programs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
Proficient personal computer skills.


Executive Compensation & Benefits Analyst

Minimum 3+ years relevant experience in executive compensation, human resources, accounting, audit, or related field.  Note:  A Master's degree will count as one year of experience.  A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year of experience.

Knowledge of compensation and benefit programs and policies, and/or knowledge of accounting practices and procedures as related to compensation and benefit programs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
Proficient personal computer skills.
