Job Summary
Job Summary: We are seeking a strategic Business Analyst to lead the lifecycle management of telecommunications lease line services across our multi-state service territory. This role combines data gathering, vendor management, financial oversight, and team leadership to ensure reliable, cost-effective telecommunication solutions that meet business expectations.
The level of the position will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to capture and document telecom service requirements.
- Oversee the quoting, activation, and lifecycle management of leased line circuits (MPLS, Ethernet, SD-WAN, Toll Free, Wave Length Services, etc.).
- Lead contract negotiations with telecom carriers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
- Manage vendor relationships, performance reviews, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with vendors to address ordering processes, service performance, and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain a centralized repository of leased services, service agreements, and renewal timelines.
- Track and analyze telecom expenditure across all leased line services and multiple business areas.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through service consolidation, renegotiation, or technology upgrades.
- Collaborate with management to align spending with budget forecasts and business priorities.
- Review billing statements for accuracy, resolve disputes, and ensure proper account distribution.
- Act as team leader for the telecom services group, assigning tasks and managing workload distribution.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Report team progress, key metrics, and project status to leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead telecom lease related projects, including expansions, migrations, and service transitions.
- Assist in alignment between project deliverables, user requirements, and business timelines.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Senior Business Analyst: 5+ years related experience working with technology solutions and business strategies.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills required.
- Experience writing internal communications and organizational change management.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills preferred.
- Must have previous experience gathering and documenting business requirements, process mapping, and functional application testing.
- Excellent understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
- Demonstrated competency in verbal, written, and presentation communications.
- Ability to work with all levels of employees, and to influence and impact others.
Business Analyst Specialist: 8+ years related experience working with technology solutions and business strategies.
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Proven experience in crafting internal communications and managing organizational change.
- Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities are highly desirable.
- Prior experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, process mapping, and conducting functional application testing is a must.
- In-depth understanding of business systems and industry standards is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with employees at all levels and effectively influence and impact others.
Additional Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Knowledge of Tangoe Telecommunication Expense Management System and Circuit Vision Software Suite is a plus.

Demonstrated organization and planning skills that include coordination of assigned projects, planning and scheduling, and time management.

Ability to handle multiple deadlines and associated pressures.

Experience in adaptation to, and the application of, rapidly changing technology to business needs.

Bacholor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
