Job Summary

There are two positions available that will be filled at either the Senior Systems Analyst or Systems Analyst Specialist level, commensurate with the selected candidates' skills and abilities.

Senior Job Summary

Candidate will be involved in Cloud Information Security Governance activities. These duties include working closely with the Cyber Risk & Compliance, IT Infrastructure Operations, IT Services teams to implement best practices within the cloud-based environments.  Additional responsibility includes contributing to the evaluation, recommendations, and implementations of cloud security controls in an automated continuous integration/deployment environment.Work closely with Cyber Risk & Compliance, IT Infrastructure Operations, IT Services teams to help formulate and implement a strategy for cloud security that is tailored to the specific risks facing the organization, including threat modeling and applications security advisement services.  Maintain a balanced cloud security governance framework based on industry standards.  Work closely with leads to ensure compliance with regulatory, and industry standards for cloud security.Work closely with the leads to evaluate the organizations existing cloud security practices to ensure alignment with security strategy and standards. Help facilitate change review in cloud service configuration, processes, standards and technology to ensure the effectiveness of security controls and compliance requirements.  Help consult with stakeholders on requirements for new and existing business / technology solutions to assure compliance to cloud security governance frameworks and internal policies, standards, and procedures.

Specialist Job Summary

Candidate will help lead Cloud Information Security Governance activities. Continuously evaluate the organizations existing cloud security practices to ensure alignment with security strategy and standards and demonstrate improvements to the cloud programs within the organization.  Evaluate business strategies, requirements, and user needs, existing usage cloud platforms, technical capabilities, and overall cloud application maturity, and provides strategic guidance and best-practices based recommendations for implementing governance dashboards and proven best practices for cloud-based application/platform development, deployment, and support.  Help facilitate change review in cloud service configuration, processes, standards and technology to ensure the effectiveness of security controls and compliance requirements.Help consult with stakeholders on requirements for new and existing business / technology solutions to assure compliance to cloud security governance frameworks and internal policies, standards, and procedures.  23261

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience


Senior Systems Analyst:

  • 5+ Years of experience in programming or systems analysis required. (Note:  A Master's degree will count towards one year of experience.  A partial year of experience of six months or more will be rounded up to one full year of experience.)
  • 2+ years' experience in secure application/platform development and security
  • 1+ years' project management, consulting, and/or application security analyst experience
  • 1 – 2 Years’ Experience in IT Risk Management, Compliance and Cybersecurity controls
  • 1+ years of experience in Cloud Governance
  • Demonstrated Experience and good understanding of Hybrid Cloud / AWS / Azure / O 365, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS Governance
  • Experience in migrating and extending production systems into a cloud environment (Database, Web, Datawarehouse, SAP, etc.)
  • Relevant postsecondary education and/or industry standard certifications preferred (i.e., CompTIA, ISACA, ISC2, SANS Institute/GIAC, EMC, Hyperscale Cloud Providers, VMware), CompTIA Cloud+ Certification, CISSP, Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK)


Systems Analyst Specialist:

  • Full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis. (Note:  A Master's degree will count towards one year of experience.  A partial year of experience of six months or more will be rounded up to one full year of experience.)
  • 2+ years of experience in Cloud Governance desired
  • 7+ years of experience in programming, task management, and/or systems analysis required
  • 5+ years' experience with security of infrastructure operations or application/platform analysis preferred
  • 3 – 5 Years’ Experience in IT Risk Management, Compliance and Cybersecurity controls preferred
  • Demonstrated Experience and Strong Understanding of Hybrid Cloud / AWS / Azure / O 365, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS Governance
  • Experience migrating and extending production systems into a cloud environment (Database, Web, Datawarehouse, SAP, etc.)

Requirements for Both:

  • Good understanding and use of cloud computing and cloud security tools
  • Strong self-starter who has ability to operate independently and demonstrates complete ownership over assigned objectives
  • Strong understanding of IT security best practices by applying depth and breadth of expertise in multiple related disciplines
  • Basic knowledge of Security Analysis (manual and leveraging automated scanning tools)
  • Excellent oral/written presentation skills with ability to communicate effectively with senior executive leadership; proficiency in preparation of presentations, analytical reports, and documents regarding program operational status, achievement and performance
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to effectively manage multiple, competing projects/priorities while achieving targeted completion results
  • Ability to stay up to date with current cybersecurity threat landscape to account for changing circumstances when evaluating security risks
  • Strong understanding of cloud security governance & experience establishing cloud security governance across an organization
Education Requirements
Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor , Other Education: Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics
