Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Systems Engineer to join our dynamic IT team and drive our Kubernetes and OpenShift initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and scaling.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in container orchestration and cloud-native technologies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in CI/CD principles and tools (Tekton, Flux CD, ArgoCD, Jetkins, ELK)
- Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Strong proficiency in microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
