We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy is looking for an experienced and talented analyst to join their Investigations team, working out of Richmond, VA. This job is part of the Corporate Intelligence and Security Organization within Dominion Energy. 

 

Job Summary: 

Provides mission-critical contributions to the Corporate Intelligence and Security (CIS) Investigations and Physical Security Programs, working alongside Senior Investigators and other personnel to support CIS investigations. This role is vital to operational teams, providing tactical analysis and research in support of investigations and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on various security issues, to include but not limited to technical support, review of sophisticated security systems and technologies for intrusion analysis, subtle event detection, video analytics, and incident management. Exercises independent decision making in a high-stress environment. Manages multiple priorities with consistent results. Performs complex analysis, using automated and manual systems. Utilizes strong, critical thinking skills to evaluate suspicious activities and pre-operational indicators at or near company sites. Collaborate with Investigators on case work pertaining to multiple threats and strategic streams. Conducts tactical and research to support investigative strategies. Coordinate and maintain liaison with various internal stakeholders as well as local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. Exploits data by manipulating a variety of databases, inputs and extracts data from multiple sources. Assesses case developments, identifies investigative/intelligence gaps, and applies intelligence requirements to assist in the determination of appropriate investigative activity. Determines the value, significance and relevance of identified information. This role is multifaceted and has an enormous impact on the CIS mission to protect Dominion Energy’s people, its customers and its cyber and physical assets from harm by mitigating threats, closing intelligence gaps and properly assessing vulnerabilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

5+ years directly related knowledge of security in a public-safety emergency center, government fusion center, or in an investigative or analytical role in law enforcement, corporate security, regulatory, fusion center, or other investigative agency or organization. 

  • Knowledge of security issues at an energy company. 
  • Knowledge of critical infrastructure protection issues. 
  • Demonstrated use and understanding of security concepts, and sophisticated security technologies, to support investigative taskings. 
  • Consistent demonstration of strong, critical thinking and decision-making skills applied in a security environment. 
  • Ability to conduct research and analysis and document findings in a cohesive and succinct product for all CIS investigative programs.
  • Ability to process and document multiple internal and external requests.
  • Ability to review and analyze video and digital media in addition to navigate and utilize modern technology and platforms such as social media.
  • Ability to monitor and respond to security events and to provide in-depth, security expertise. 
  • Ability to assess security incidents and to take appropriate action. 
  • Ability to manage the flow of sensitive information. 
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple work processes. 
  • Ability to provide leadership in a team environment. 
  • Ability to work independently and to achieve results with little supervision. 
  • Ability to maintain the utmost professionalism and confidentiality. 
  • Ability to be responsive to tasks from multiple stakeholders while maintaining thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain excellent records for audit, reference, and accountability.
  • Ability to obtain government-issued, security clearance, as required.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor
