We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

As part of the Design Center of Excellence, this role will support the Design organization and collaborate closely with the supply chain management team to ensure the timely availability of materials required for project work. Evaluate and prioritize material requests for constrained items to support design initiatives. Perform comprehensive inventory analysis, based on both current and historical movement data to accurately determine project demand. Communicate proactively with design teams to provide updates on material constraints and availability, enabling informed decision-making and effective project planning.

 

Create and review monthly reports, including project demand and inventory variance reports, and ensure prompt resolution of issues that could impact project timelines. Publish monthly workload analysis reports, collaborating with both design and supply chain teams to minimize aged requests and improve response times. Present data, trends, and material status to stakeholders at multiple levels, keeping design teams informed of any material constraints or changes to forecasted demand.

 

Serve as a subject matter expert, guiding and informing teammates, internal customers, and partners in both design and supply chain functions. Support resolution of supply chain issues affecting project work by coordinating between supply chain, customer groups, and the design organization. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of materials management, procurement processes, and inventory control.  
  • Working knowledge of design processes.
  • Familiarity with Dominion standards for equipment and materials.
  • Knowledge of inventory analysis techniques.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, forecasting, trend analysis, and value and cost analysis skills.
  • Strong computer skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet and database applications.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to process information quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to read and use vendor manuals, drawings, equipment and material codes, and standards.
  • Results orientation.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

 

Preferred Disciplines:  Business Administration, Marketing
