We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
This position will be filled as a Senior Environmental Compliance Coordinator position. Dominion Energy is seeking a detail oriented, self-starting environmental professional to join its team at the corporate office, Thomas F. Farrell Building, located in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will oversee the environmental programs and ensure our contracted asset operating partner complies with all regulatory and permit requirements. As the owner of the power stations, operating permits are held by Dominion Energy. This role requires travel to each of the 5 contracted asset power stations located in Virginia (Franklin, Hopewell, Gordonsville, Altavista) and North Carolina (Roanoke Rapids) at least twice per month, utilizing a company provided vehicle.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Serve as the contracted asset power station’s primary contact with Dominion Energy internal environmental support professionals.
- Coordinate with site leadership to ensure the operation and maintenance of the power station is following air, water, waste, oil, chemical management and wildlife rules, regulations and permits.
- Conduct joint site assessments with site leadership and provide recommendations on compliance issues.
- Serve as liaison between the contracted asset power stations and external regulatory agencies.
- Analyze data and prepare management reports of performance metrics.
- Keep management apprised of site environmental compliance.
- Provide environmental guidance and expectations to site compliance personnel to ensure understanding of Dominion Energy’s policies, procedures and resources for environmental compliance.
- Evaluate new regulations and coordinate compliance plan updates for work sites.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Sr. Environmental Compliance Coordinator Requirements: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of directly related experience or associate's degree with 7+ years of directly related experience. The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following
- Strong knowledge of related environmental regulations and applicable environmental permits
- Proven ability to develop, implement and administer complex environmental compliance plans and processes
- Ability to interpret and/or apply environmental requirements to company operations and translate regulatory regulations, permit and plan requirements into understandable compliance guidance
- Ability to prepare and/or review compliance and regulatory documents and reports
- Strong technical writing, communication and public relations skills
- Strong data analysis and record keeping skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Excellent organizational, time management and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and to be self-directed
- Ability to work in field environments
- Ability to manage contract resources
- Ability to diplomatically handle sensitive situations with regulatory agencies, the public, and company personnel at all levels
