We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
Are you interested in energy market research, strategic planning, economics and quantitative analysis? If you are, this position may be the one you've been looking for. Our Energy Market Analysis group focuses on energy market research and analysis with regards to the economics, regulations and policy formulations specific to energy to help inform strategic decision-making at DE. Study how the increasing emergence of new technologies such as solar, wind, hydrogen, battery storage, electric vehicles, and LNG will impact energy markets and transform the economy of the future. Develop and maintain long-term models to provide forward views and trends for developing markets. Specific duties of this position include:
- Research, compile, and manipulate energy industry competitive intelligence information using industry-related publications, databases, and other sources.
- Monitor significant regulatory, environmental, & legislative policies (local/state/federal) impacting DE and Business Unit strategic, business & financial plans.
- Prepare assorted strategic planning and financial deliverables for CFO / Strategic Planning leadership.
- Analyze and forecast energy markets and provide updates to senior leadership.
- Develop new or improvements in existing research tools.
- Develop and maintain proprietary, in-house forecasts, structural databases and models of regional energy markets, including quantifying ranges on potential outcomes.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis and quality control on large amounts of data.
- Support effort to ensure cross-organizational consistency (where appropriate) across multitude of strategic/planning activities (e.g., filings, initiatives, etc.) in multiple jurisdictions/regions.
- Ensure proper linkages & consistency with financial plans (budgets) & forecasts.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
5+ years of related experience. (Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one full year)
Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:
- Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills (Particularly Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Word).
- Highly proficient with personal computer applications, especially database, spreadsheet, and internet (Microsoft Excel, Power BI, etc.). Excel modeling and database skills are highly preferred.
- Proficient with business information research, analytical methods, and statistics.
- Experience in regulatory proceedings including preparing testimony, responding to interrogatories, and testifying
- Extensive understanding of compliance matters associated with NERC, FERC, state regulation, energy & fuel markets, and internally (Standards & Codes of Conduct)
- Ability to recognize energy market trends and identify the influence of these trends on current and future market conditions that will impact the Company’s financial, operational, and strategic position.
- Manage and maintain large quantities of data, investigative thinking, handle multiple tasks, work independently.
- Desire to take lead role in projects.
- Able to work on multiple projects at the same time and at different levels across different commodities.
- Present results and defend strategic analysis to leadership.
- Knowledge of PJM policy is a plus.

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Economics, Business, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Science.
