Job Summary

Dominion Energy is looking for an energetic, self-motivated senior-level professional in Human Resources to join the Corporate Compensation team. This is an exciting time for the compensation team as we are evaluating our current programs and policies to strengthen the company’s competitiveness with the ever changing talent landscape. This senior level position will work closely with assigned field HR groups and the business units, in the development, implementation and administration of corporate and business unit compensation programs. The selected candidate will work with all levels of leadership, and interface with Dominion Energy employees, as required, to create new jobs or modify existing jobs and provide policy interpretation for compensation policies. Experience working on compensation programs is preferred.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Design and administer Dominion Energy compensation programs and policies, including annual merit, incentive and equity based pay programs, and supplemental and differential pay policies, including interaction with IT on systems management.
  • Conduct market pricing studies to determine appropriate pay ranges for jobs within the Company.
  • Support assigned field HR and customer groups in the implementation and administration of business unit base, supplemental, and incentive compensation programs and policies. This will include analytics, research, training, and communications.
  • Serves as an advisor to management and employees providing information to ensure effective, consistent, equitable, and legally compliant company compensation programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Foster teamwork and open communications within our HR business communities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years HR experience, with compensation related experience preferred.  Field HR experience (HR Generalist/HR Business Partner) is also preferred.
  • Demonstrated breadth and depth of HR knowledge and experience, with specific experience in compensation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, consulting, and communications skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to influence without authority. Must be able to develop and make recommendations for presentations to senior management.
  • Ability to gain consensus for outcomes consistent with Corporate Compensation philosophy and policies.
  • Ability to utilize strong questioning attitude and skills, to fully understand the business need behind requests for new jobs or modifications.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making.
  • Must have strong research and analytical skills, demonstrated through work experience.
  • Ability to multi-task (program, project management, customer requests) and to meet commitments.
  • Full knowledge of information systems and relevant government regulations.
  • Excellent personal computer skills and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft computer applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess a positive outlook, be independent, confident, flexible and open to change.
  • CCP or PHR/SPHR preferred.

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines: Business, Human Resources, Liberal Arts
