We offer a hybrid work schedule (one week in the office, one week of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Systems Analyst at its downtown office in Richmond, VA. This position will be responsible for working with the business team to gather and document business requirements for Electric Distribution’s Enterprise Work & Asset Management (EWAM) projects. Additionally, this person will be required to plan and execute system testing as well as support business partners in the execution of user acceptance testing.  The position will also be required to support the EWAM second level help desk and communication processes on a rotating basis. Strong meeting facilitation, communication and negotiation skills are required.  The candidate should also have a strong working knowledge of Electric Utility Operations and associated restoration processes; both in regular and in-Storm conditions.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum of 5 years of directly related professional experience, including at least 2 years focused on power delivery
• Strong IT skills with hands-on experience supporting an enterprise electric distribution work and asset management system
• Experience with Electric Utility Distribution systems and a working understanding of Outage Management processes
• Excellent understanding of business systems and utility industry requirements
• Proven experience in business systems analysis within a large-scale environment across multiple hardware and software platforms, or equivalent business-unit experience working closely with IT on large system implementations
• Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and understand customer and business needs
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and confidence with customers and internal stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and influence outcomes


• Experience developing others and achieving results through collaboration
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet competing deadlines
• Comfortable adapting to rapidly changing technology and applying it to evolving business needs


• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Demonstrates flexibility and collaborates effectively within IT teams
• Achievement-oriented with a strong concern for quality
• Proven ability to remain composed under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Experience developing programs and delivering training

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s): Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics
