Job Summary

The successful candidate for this position will perform detailed data analysis, automation, reporting, and vendor management using a variety of analytical tools to support the Customer Billing Services department. Specific duties include:

  • Identifying, recommending, and contributing to automation and process improvement solutions to Customer Billing business problems
  • Creating effective relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure ineffective controls, high risk tasks, highly manual tasks, pain points, gaps, and input errors in Customer Billing are identified and resolved
  • Supporting Billing Administrators in efficiently completing billing exceptions
  • Supporting annual Billing policy & procedure review
  • Produce Billing dashboards, performance and budget reporting, and other metrics to inform effective decision making
  • Providing daily and ad hoc data, rebilling, and vendor management support for Billing 
  • Managing daily tasks including EDI billing, Customer Choice, and ACS
  • Serving as primary contact for and ensuring contract compliance with third party vendor for inserting and mailing for DEV and DENC

Perform other duties as requested or assigned.


Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant directly related work experience;experience in Audit, Accounting, IT, Rates, Billing, or other related fields preferred. (Note:  A Master's degree will count as one year of experience.  A partial year of six months or more of experience will be rounded up to one year).
  • Demonstrated planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously;
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making;
  • Effective analytical skills;
  • Excellent computer skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Knowledge, understanding, and application of the company’s terms and conditions, policies and procedures, and rate schedules.
  • Proficiency with advanced functions in Microsoft Excel such as formulas, macros, or pivot tables required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Application of a Customer Information System (CIS) such as Customer Business Management System (CBMS) preferred.
  • Experience with writing and editing SQL queries.
  • Ability to learn quickly, apply knowledge and judgment, and take initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and with a team to produce quality work under pressure.
  • Experience with and/or general understanding of Alteryx
  • Ability to multitask and handle a wide variety of duties and responsibilities.
  • Six Sigma experience preferred
