We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

There is one position available which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates' education, experience, knowledge skills, and abilities.
 

Risk Quantitative Analyst  Primary Focus: Intermediate-level role focused on learning and applying fundamental risk analysis techniques. Responsibilities: Assist in developing and maintaining commodity and financial valuation models. Perform basic analysis of market prices and correlations. Support senior analysts in deconstructing complex deals. Update and maintain SAS code, databases, and reports under supervision. Write SQL queries for data retrieval as required. Present findings to internal stakeholders with guidance. Write reports to support team and management.

  

Senior Risk Quantitative Analyst Primary Focus: Senior-level role with increased responsibility and independence in risk analysis and model development. Responsibilities: Lead the development and refinement of pricing models to generate mark-to-market (MTM) values for commodity transactions. Conduct in-depth analysis of market prices and correlations. Independently deconstruct complex deals and identify risk components. Update, maintain, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of SAS code, databases, and reports. Write SQL queries for data retrieval as required. Present and explain valuations and models to both internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators. Write reports to support team and management. 
 

Risk Quantitative Specialist Primary Focus: Expert level role with expertise in risk analysis, model development, and strategic risk management. Responsibilities: Oversee the creation and management of sophisticated pricing models to generate mark-to-market (MTM) values for commodity transactions. Provide expert analysis of market prices and correlations, offering strategic insights. Break down highly complex deals into risk components and develop advanced valuation methods. Ensure the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency in SAS code, SQL, databases, and reports. Write SQL queries for data retrieval as required. Lead presentations and discussions with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and regulators. Write reports to support team and management. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Risk Quantitative Analyst  2-3+ years of experience in commodity and financial valuation models for standard and complex trading products. Analytical skills, including the ability to decompose potential and existing transactions into their risk components and ensure accurate valuation for internal analysis and mark-to-market valuation. Knowledge of options and the Greeks (delta, gamma, vega, theta, rho) and their effects on physical/financial positions and valuations. Knowledge of financial mathematics, risk management, trading products, hedging strategies, the energy industry, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards and practices. Experience with econometric/statistical modeling. Skills: Organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical. Aptitude for continuous learning. Proficiency in computer spreadsheet and database applications. Extensive experience and proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, SQL, C/C++, Java, Visual Basic, and HTML.  Energy or utility experience preferred.  

Senior Risk Quantitative Analyst  5+ years of experience in financial valuation models for standard and complex trading products. Quantitative background with the ability to understand and apply valuation methodologies to complex transactions, as well as develop and validate advanced methodologies beyond current industry standards. Analytical skills, including the ability to decompose potential and existing transactions into their risk components and ensure accurate valuation for internal analysis and mark-to-market valuation. Knowledge of options and the Greeks (delta, gamma, vega, theta, rho) and their effects on physical/financial positions and valuations. Knowledge of financial mathematics, risk management, trading products, hedging strategies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards and practices. Experience with econometric/statistical modeling. Skills: Organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical. Aptitude for continuous learning. Proficiency in computer spreadsheet and database applications. Extensive experience and proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, SQL, C/C++, Java, Visual Basic, and HTML. Risk Quantitative Specialist 7-8+ years of experience in financial valuation models for standard and complex trading products. Strong quantitative background with the ability to understand and apply valuation methodologies to complex transactions, as well as develop and validate advanced methodologies beyond current industry standards. Extensive analytical skills, including the ability to decompose potential and existing transactions into their risk components and ensure accurate valuation for internal analysis and mark-to-market valuation. In-depth knowledge of options and the Greeks (delta, gamma, vega, theta, rho) and their effects on physical/financial positions and valuations. Comprehensive knowledge of financial mathematics, risk management, trading products, hedging strategies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards and practices. Extensive experience with econometric/statistical modeling. Skills: Organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical. Aptitude for continuous learning. Proficiency in computer spreadsheet and database applications. Extensive experience and proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, SQL, C/C++, Java, Visual Basic, and HTML. Energy or utility experience preferred.  

Education Requirements

Required Degree (equivalency not accepted in lieu of required degree): Bachelor
Master's or PhD preferred
