We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Product Owners play a crucial role in product development, acting as the liaison between stakeholders and the development team. They have a deep understanding of business strategy and communicate the vision to the team, ensuring the final product meets the needs of the customers and the objectives of the business. The Product Owner represents the “voice of the customer” by maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure the team is working to maximize business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to all customers; solicits stakeholder input and feedback to inform team, backlog and prioritization.  

The Product Owner partners closely with the Tech Lead to make key decisions on technology solutions and collaborates with designers to bring user-centricity into product development. Key responsibilities include End-to-end Product ownership - Develop product strategy and vision, set key business objectives, represent voice of customer to team, measure and report product outcomes. Develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap to all relevant stakeholders and team members. Create Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and revise them throughout the product life cycle. Create the product backlog and work with the team to decompose epics and features into stories. Prioritize the product backlog to ensure product team focuses on those with the maximum value and aligned with product strategy. Work closely with stakeholders to identify and understand their needs and translate these into product requirements. Define user stories and acceptance criteria and ensure they are clearly understood by the development team. Work closely with the development team throughout the product development process, providing clarification and direction where needed.

Review and accept completed work, ensuring it meets the defined acceptance criteria and overall quality standards. Measure and report on product performance and progress towards strategic goals. Continuously gather feedback from users and stakeholders to inform future product decisions. Work closely with the Scrum Master to resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that may affect the team’s ability to meet project objectives. Work closely with the Product Group Owner to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI. Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

-6-7+ years of overall work-related experience

-2-4 years of experience in a product ownership, product management, or requirements intake role; product strategy experience is a plus

-1+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ people preferred

-Experience with agile development strongly preferred, agile or product certification a plus

-Must have strong business skills and experience, with either some experience working with technology teams or the ability and interest to learn howe to work with technology teams

-Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools; experience writing user stories

-In-depth knowledge of Agile and Product process principles

-Ability to develop productive relationships with technical and non-technical partners

-Strong understanding of technology, customer needs and business strategy

-Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills

-Excellent organizational and time management skills

-Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:  Bachelor

 

Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering

 

Preferred Discipline(s):  Business, Information Technology
