We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

This is a role in a two-part job series. The chosen candidate’s experience level will determine which level the role will be. The person is responsible for the administration and billing analysis of both wholesale electric customer sale contracts and non-utility generator (NUG) purchase contracts. Participates in the administration of large purchase and/or sale contracts. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely administration and adherence of non-utility contract provisions, terms and conditions through the independent analysis, review, calculation, and verification of non-utility activity. Supports the development, negotiation, amendment, implementation, and administration of non-standard, non-utility generation contracts (NUGs). Assists company personnel in interpreting policies, procedures, agreements and filed terms and conditions. Provides assistance in the interpretation, guidance and support in the administration and enforcement of contractual matters, service agreements and amendment inclusions. Provides contractual experience and knowledge during the preparation of supplier agreements and contracts. Advises on contractual rights and obligations and potential economic and legal ramifications of decisions. Assists in the development and implementation of contractual reviews through the development of statistical reports, interpretation of contractual provisions and identification of usage patterns and practices of producer/supplier(s). Investigates, researches, and resolves metering discrepancies and variations, negotiates payment settlement or prepares supporting documentation and cost estimates to support company s position and estimated financial liability. Calculates and ensures accurate transaction and recording of NUG payments; verifies and prepares journal entries. Implements and maintains automated systems for Power Contracts non-utility billing systems. Supports and assists in the preparation of testimony, exhibits and filings involving contractual matters, agreements, terms and conditions. Develops responses to regulatory related interrogatories.

On occasion, may participate in negotiations regarding agreements, rate deisgn/development, and terms and conditions. Assists with the resolution of contractual and technical disagreements, including billing issues, between the Company and the contractual counterparty.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and education required for entry into this job include the following:

Power Contract Billing & Admin Analyst : Minimum of 3+ years of experience with contract billing terms and conditions, experience and knowledge of power generation service facilities and charges.

•    Working knowledge of contract terms, conditions and applications, particularly specific to utility/non-utility power sales and billing.
•    Basic knowledge and application of regulatory methods, requirements, and procedures.
•    Basic knowledge and application of accounting, finance and rate making principles.

Sr Power Contract Billing & Admin Analyst: A minimum of 5 years with contract billing terms and conditions, experience and knowledge of generation service facilities and charges.

•    Working knowledge and application of NUG purchase contracts and wholesale customer sale agreements.
•    Working knowledge and application of accounting, finance, and corporate budgeting process.
•    Extensive knowledge and application of regulatory methods, requirements, and procedures.
•    Extensive knowledge and application of accounting

Both Levels Should Possess:

•    Prefer with experience using the system Acuity and using SAP. 
•    Excellent math and computer skills, ability to analyze large volumes of complex data and perform mathematical calculations.
•    Ability to research, gather, analyzeand verify data to prepare and present statistical reports and documentation.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work effectively with team and outside parties, respond to regulatory related interrogatories.
•    Strong organizational and problem solving skills.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor
