Job Summary

Dominion Energy Pipeline Commercial Policy & Compliance is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Gas Policy & Compliance Analyst with strong analytical skills.  The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and maintenance of business practices and procedures to meet corporate and regulatory requirements. There are multiple vacancies which will be filled at the levels commensurate with the successful candidates' education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

 

Day-to-day responsibilities for analyst and senior analyst will include, and not be limited to, the following:

  • Conduct compliance-related analysis of existing business practices
  • Create and maintain procedures/requirement documentation
  • Execute testing to detect areas of compliance weaknesses and process improvements
  • Investigate and evaluate evidence of compliance and measure against procedures
  • Ensure compliance processes and procedures are implemented
  • Monitor, assess and communicate regulatory policy initiatives
  • Create procedures/documentation as business practices and regulatory requirements change
  • Organize, coordinate, and track data related to any regulatory requests
  • Apply standards, such as NAESB, FERC, respective Pipeline Gas Tariff, SOX, and Company’s Code of Standards of Conduct
  • Collaborate with multiple groups within the Gas Infrastructure Group, providing compliance and audit support
     
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):

 

Pipeline Commercial Policy & Compliance Analyst:

  • Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years Regulatory, Compliance or Auditing experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years  Regulatory, Compliance or Auditing experience OR
  • Associate's degree with a minimum of 5 years Regulatory, Compliance or Auditing experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 7 years Regulatory, Compliance or Auditing experience

 

Senior Pipeline Commercial Policy & Compliance Analyst:

  • Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years Regulatory, Compliance or Auditing experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years Regulatory, Compliance or Auditing experience OR
  • Associate's degree with a minimum of 7  years Regulatory, Compliance or Auditing experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 9 years Regulatory, Compliance or Auditing experience


Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for both Pipeline Commercial Policy & Compliance Analyst and Senior Pipeline Commercial Policy & Compliance Analyst:

 

  • Experience and understanding of pipeline operations and regulatory requirements
  • Solid communication (written and oral), organizational and planning skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple work efforts simultaneously
  • Experience in business process analysis and documentation skills
  • Previous work experience in evidence collection and evaluation of compliance processes
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
     
Education Requirements

Education Level:

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
