We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary
- Support the development, coordination and implementation of philanthropic strategy and philanthropic programs designed to build stronger communities while enhancing corporate reputation and goodwill among key stakeholders across a wide geographic region, including multiple states.
- Responsible for implementing the annual Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation budget and annual department budgets for all assigned regions within the Corporate Philanthropy organization throughout the Dominion Energy footprint.
- Grow and maintain a wide network of corporate, community and nonprofit contacts to aid in ensuring philanthropic funds are meeting community needs and helping to establish Dominion Energy as a leading corporate citizen.
- Evaluate existing and recommend new giving programs that would meet community needs.
- Work closely with Grant Review Committee(s) and other company leaders to analyze Foundation grant and corporate sponsorship requests to determine the appropriate level of participation.
- Participate in strategic community and business groups to communicate Dominion Energy’s positions, policies and programs with a goal of building goodwill in the community.
- Identify opportunities to communicate with internal and external stakeholders about the company’s philanthropic efforts.
- Ensure compliance requirements are met for all grants recommended to receive Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation funding.
- Lead one or more high-profile $1million+ community investment programs, such as the Educational Equity Scholarship Program, or other strategic grants initiative and the Employee Giving Program.
- Other duties as requested or assigned.
This position can be filled in either Richmond, VA or Hampton Roads Area of Virginia.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
7-8 years of grant making and administration, management of philanthropic programs and/or community engagement with a foundation, corporation or grant making institution. Note: A Master's degree will count as one year towards the experience requirement. A partial year of six months or more experience will be rounded up to one year of experience.
Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:
- Knowledge of IRS and other compliance requirements for tax-exempt organizations.
- Demonstrated budget management, analysis, problem solving and reporting skills.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation. - Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously.
- Excellent ability to work under own initiative and tight deadlines.
- Strong computer skills.
- Proficient in application of business process improvement methodology and benchmarking.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
