We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary
Manages the strategic communications required to increase customer understanding and acceptance of energy conservation programs, advanced metering, renewable energy programs, new emerging technologies that may be adopted by customers, and grid modernization initiatives. Provides direct oversight for messaging to customers and is a liaison between the New Technology and Energy Conservation team and Corporate Communications for providing accurate information required for broader messaging.Leads the development and implementation of a coordinated and strategic communications plans for external and internal audiences, including opinion leaders and regulatory and legislative stakeholders. Develops unique presentations for use by Dominion executives and delivers presentations on behalf of the organization to external audiences. Assists with preparing Dominion executives and spokespersons to respond to news media inquiries. Addresses public audiences on matters pertaining to energy conservation programs, advanced metering, renewable energy programs, new emerging technologies that may be adopted by customers, grid modernization initiatives, and other such matters as Media Relations leadership may assign.Serves as key primary departmental contact for Corporate Communications and State and Local Government affairs. Responsible for graphic design vendor management including contract development, oversight, budgeting, and performance.Develops and provides direct oversight of collateral communications material such as bill inserts and program mailers.Coordinates development of video material that describes energy conservation programs, advanced metering, renewable energy programs, new or emerging technologies, and grid modernization initiatives, and captures customer testimonials regarding positive experiences or areas for improvement. Provides content for on-line messages to customers and updates training aids for the Customer Account Management team. Manages escalated customer complaints and responds to customer inquiries as needed. Works with Dominion stakeholders responsible for other channels (Dom.com, social media, employee, etc.) to develop, deliver, and update appropriate materials. Responsible for coordinating community engagement events, dedication ceremonies, and other media events. Works closely with Corporate Communications Group to provide content for news releases, news advisories, standby statements and other materials for the news media. Represents department for media as needed. Collaborates on the development of annual program reports for regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.Provides day to day guidance and expertise to other departmental staff on matters pertaining to energy conservation programs, advanced metering, renewable energy programs, new or emerging technologies, grid modernization initiatives, and other such matters as assigned.Develops, maintains, and communicates performance metrics on communication efforts.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
-7-8+ years of directly related experience required;
-Demonstrated expertise in Communications strategy, development and execution (including the implementation of strategic plans for effective communications with communities, key customer groups, influential stakeholder groups, and political officials);
-Excellent facilitation, oral and written communication skills.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
