We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the implementation and executions of cost and process controls within DEV Electric Distribution primarily through the Project Management Office. Ensures projects results meet requirements for quality, timeline, and budget and provides timely and accurate information and status updates to management and internal and external customers. Responsible for complex scope, cost development, validation and/or Government cost quotes, complex permitting, work plans, and environmental studies. Oversees the development and implementation of project delivery training and procedures to ensure compliance with company, state and federal rules, regulations and policies; responsible for company assets and budgets and directs assigned human resources. Encourages and develops effective union/management relations. Represents company interests in dealing with, governmental agencies and the community. Coordinates Control Specialist teams for the PMO, Contractor Management and Financial Monitor actual project cost and/or work status data to ensure projects proceed on schedule and within budget and provide status reports to management. Develop and review Operations and Maintenance and capital budgets and analyze monthly cost reports. Develops and maintains a focus on building a culture of project controls and project management excellence within Electric Distribution.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
7+ years of relevant exempt experience in directly related field. Strong knowledge of cost controls principles. Strong decision making and problem solving. Must be able to verify data and present statistical reports and documentation. Knowledge of company operations, strategies, and business plans. Knowledge and application of customer contracts, agreements and terms and conditions. Awareness of applicable codes and regulations. Ability to effectively lead and motivate staff in a team environment. Proven ability to effectively plan and manage multiple activities, resources and time. Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong business acumen. Skills: leadership; verbal and written communication; resource management; planning and organizing. Abilities: teaming; address multiple tasks simultaneously; process information from many sources and formulate workable plan; make effective decisions; project management.
Education Requirements
Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelors Bachelor preferred in Business Administration or Engineering |
