Job Summary

The Lead Agile Coach will play a key role in driving Agile and Product transformation at scale. This role will work closely with leadership, teams of teams, and stakeholders to ensure the successful adoption and sustainability of Agile practices across the organization.  culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. This role will work closely with leadership, teams of teams, and stakeholders to ensure the successful adoption and sustainability of Agile practices at the Product Group level.

Coaching and Mentoring: Guide leaders and teams at scale in Agile and Product principles and practices. Mentor and develop Agile coaches, Scrum Masters, Product Group Managers, Product Owners in Agile, Lean and Product practices and frameworks at scale. Help teams solve or escalate problems across teams and product groups to foster better flow and predictability. Encourage and support DevOps and ProductOps. Assess maturity levels at the team and product group level and provide tailored coaching to optimize Agile practices.

Transformation and Strategy: Guide the organization through the agile transformation process, identifying and addressing challenges to ensure successful adoption. Partner with leadership to develop and implement strategies for scaling Agile across the organization. Align initiatives to OKRs and key performance metrics. Measure and monitor Agile adoption progress, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth. Collaborate with other Agile Coaches to share knowledge and best practices.

Facilitation and Collaboration: Plan and facilitate workshops and Agile events at cross-team and product group levels to promote and model Agile values. Foster alignment between agile teams, stakeholders and leadership. Champion communities of practice to support new Agile roles and teams. Collaborate with leadership to define and implement Agile and Product governance. Promote collaboration between business and IT teams. Collaborate with other Agile Coaches to share knowledge and best practices.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

-Minimum of 7+ years of relevant exempt experience in a directly related field.

-Minimum 5+ years proven experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or Release Train Engineer (RTE).

-Experience Supporting multiple Portfolios, ARTs, and Agile Teams

-Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc) and principles.

-Experience rolling out PI Planning and improving backlog refinement processes

-Experience leading Jira Migrations

-Deliver OKR Coaching

-Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels of the organization.

-Possesses and applies extensive and advanced knowledge of Agile theories, practices and procedures Has deep knowledge of Agile principles / practices and the flexibility to adapt experiences to new & evolving environments​.

-Subject matter expert experienced with large scale software delivery and/or Agile transformation at scale in large enterprise organizations.

-May work with newer teams requiring high levels of support and guidance.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s): Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

Advanced degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.

 Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
