We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
This individual contributor role currently reports directly to the Controller in support of Dominion Energy’s DEV/CE business segments and will participate in various assignments and analyses involving special accounting projects, some of which may be complex.
Participation in such projects generally involves developing recommended accounting positions for current or proposed transactions, including review of new or modified contracts, consulting on business development activities as well as the assessment and implementation of new accounting standards. This role routinely interacts with colleagues within and without the accounting organization and may provide leadership including functional advice and training to less experienced accountants.
In addition to special assignments, this role is responsible for performing certain monthly and quarterly procedures that may include but are not limited to:
- Facilitating the review and compilation of comments on quarterly and annual SEC filings, and accompanying disclosure and control checklist submissions.
- Monitoring the status and completeness of the Controller group’s SOX control procedures.
- Facilitating periodic update meetings with other accounting groups on current issues.
- Peer reviewing account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
6+ years of accounting experience; or 5 years of public accounting experience. (Note: A Master's degree will count as one year towards the experience requirement. A partial year of six months or more of experience will be rounded up to one year.)
Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:
- Excellent and effective communication (written and verbal) around complex accounting and business concepts to varying audiences within the organization, including peers, management, and auditors.
- Must be an agile self-starter who can problem-solve independently, provide solutions, and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred; comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is a requirement and FERC Uniform System of Accounts is a plus.
- Customer-service focused with ability to contribute innovative ideas and see those changes through to implementation.
