Job Summary
Responsible for Dominion Energy’s physical regulatory compliance program. Maintains documentation in compliance with federal, national, and regional requirements. Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Physical Security NERC CIP program. Performs investigations of incidents of non-compliance and presents findings to a panel, providing necessary documentation. Maintains a stance of audit readiness at all times. Assesses, identifies, and prioritizes NERC compliance risks based on federal, national and regional requirements.
Develops, reviews, and updates procedures annually or as needed as the requirements dictate. Coordinates compliance efforts and advisement between program managers and Physical Security. Performs annual physical inspections at regulated sites. Commissions newly added or created regulated sites. Maintains an awareness of current and upcoming policies, regulations and requirements, and develops solutions for compliance. Responsible for leading complex special projects, as assigned. Prepares, schedules, and implements training programs ensuring successful implementation and advocacy of NERC compliance. Acts as a source of best practice information.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
3-4 years directly related experience;
Compliance experience is highly desirable;
Basic understanding of regulations and policies pertaining to the NERC Compliance Program and ability to independently implement them in the Business Area;
Ability to lead or assist with compliance related projects with advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements, security systems and architecture;
Strong understanding of current security architecture best practices;
Knowledge of physical security access control systems;
Demonstrates drive to independently learn and become an expert in the evolving regulatory landscape;
Ability to analyze information and to make sound decisions, with an ability to multitask, prioritizing issues;
Excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication and presentation skills (including public speaking);
Ability to be diplomatic and persuasive;
Exceptional organizational and planning skills;
Independent decision-making expertise;
Experience in writing procedures and policies.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Criminal Justice; Police Science; Homeland Security; Law Enforcement
