Job Summary
Dominion Energy is seeking students to participate in our internship program.
- This position requires the ability to provide expert and creative solutions to user problems to ensure customer satisfaction and productivity.
- Works from specifications to develop or modify moderately complex software programming applications and information systems.
- Assists with the design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs.
- Assist experience Software Systems Engineers with an individual business unit on specific project assignments.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Must have strong computer knowledge and skills with demonstrated ability to learn and utilize IT software programs.
- Must have strong customer service and problem-solving skills; coursework or experience in PCs, application and Microsoft Office project support preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of Windows10, and Office 365
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills; be able to work independently and as a team.
- Programming, scripting, computer architecture and design, relational database experience are all pluses.
Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned work location and have reliable transportation.
Education Requirements
- Must be currently pursuing a 4-year Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Students should be a rising junior and have an anticipated graduation date 2026 or later.
