Job Summary

Dominion Energy is seeking an IT Intern to join our IT EMS (Energy Management System) team in support of the Dominion Energy Electric Transmission Systems Operation Center (ET SOC). This position is located in Richmond, Virginia.

This role supports Electric Transmission capital projects and ongoing operations work on the EMS and SOCSYNC systems while adhering to NERC CIP regulatory standards.

IT EMS team responsibilities include:
•    Administration of NERC regulated physical & virtual Windows and Linux systems
•    Serving as the immediate IT contacts for Electric Transmission System Operators
•    Supporting the Electric Transmission organization by working independently or as a team to develop and maintain custom Dominion Energy software while utilizing change management and version control systems
•    Creating solutions to IT challenges with creative problem solving
•    Engaging with EMS Modeling team, SOC System Operators, and PJM contacts to perform regular SCADA model loads
•    Supporting the future of Electric Transmission SCADA systems at Dominion Energy with synchrophasor technology

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Qualifications:
•    Currently enrolled in a relevant bachelors degree program (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology).
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
•    Must have an anticipated graduation date of May 2027 or later.
•    GPA of 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.
