Successful candidates who are 50 miles or more from the assigned work location, may be eligible for a one-time housing stipend. This position may have the option to work in the following locations; Richmond, Cayce, Cleveland, or Salt Lake City based on business needs.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy is seeking summer 2023 interns for the Human Resources organization.  Interns who join our team will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects which will allow the intern to explore various facets of the HR organization.


Project assignments may include:
Diversity Equity & Inclusion
Assisting DE&I/Employee Engagement team members with their efforts to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within DE, to include working with DE Native American employees to identify possible opportunities in these areas.
Assisting DE&I/Employee Engagement team members with support for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Diversity Councils (DCs) across the company’s footprint.
Assisting with special projects which may include: benchmarking DE&I processes and programs, updating training materials, and promoting jobs & events on various social media channels.
 
Talent Acquisition
Assisting with Dominion Energy student employment program and activities throughout the summer.
Conducting benchmarking with other companies as it relates to student employment programs and recruiting initiatives.
Special projects may include: leveraging new technologies for recruiting and talent acquisition strategies, including social media channels.
Partnering with recruiters on active job openings with potential to listen in on strategy calls, assist with resume review, and/or schedule interviews
Partnering with the Talent Acquisition team on, among other things, the Dominion Energy Careers in Energy Student Diversity Conference and other initiatives to create a pipeline of qualified and diverse candidates for current and future jobs.


Business Engagement
Assist HR Business Partners in their support of various businesses

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership

•    Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Ability to work independently and on project teams
•    Demonstrated time management and organizational skills needed to work in a fast-paced environment
•    Working knowledge of video tools

 Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience


•    General knowledge of HR processes & policies
•    Ability to collect and analyze data using spreadsheet software, such as Excel
•    Ability to create presentations using software, such as PowerPoint
•    A student currently pursuing a 2 or 4-year degree at an accredited college
•    Must have an anticipated graduation date of spring 2025 or 2026
•    Candidates must have a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA.
•    Preferred disciplines include Business, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field
 

Education Requirements

  • A student currently pursuing a 2 or 4-year degree at an accredited college
  • Must have an anticipated graduation date of spring 2025 or 2026
  • Candidates must have a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA.
  • Preferred disciplines include Business, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field
