Job Summary
Energy Market Analysis Intern
Research, compile, and manipulate energy industry competitive intelligence information using industry-related publications, databases, and other sources.
Assist in strategic analysis of energy markets and economics of specific projects. Assist with evaluation, development of recommendations, and acquisition of publications and research tools.
Assist with development and maintenance of proprietary, in-house and other forecasts, structural databases and models of regional energy markets, including quantifying ranges on potential outcomes.
Assist with development of dynamic business plans for each region which define the optimal assets/positions to acquire and/or develop.
Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis and quality control on large amounts of data.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
• Basic knowledge of business information research.
• Knowledge of analytical methods and statistics preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills (Particularly Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Word).
• Proficient with personal computer applications, especially database, spreadsheet, and internet (Microsoft Excel, Power BI, etc.).
• Skills: analytical; organizational; interpersonal; verbal and written communication; personal computer applications, especially relational database, advanced spreadsheet, and internet.
• Abilities: manage and maintain large quantities of data; investigative thinking; handle multiple tasks.
Education Requirements
Students must be working towards completing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics or a business related field
Students must have an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2022, December 2022 or Spring 2023
Student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
