Job Summary

Provide support to select groups within the CFO organization including Treasury Corporate Finance, Corporate Financial Planning, Mergers & Acquisitions, Investor Relations, and Financial Analysis.  Potential assignments within the CFO rotational internship include:

  • Assist in the development of financial models that forecast and evaluate financial performance of prospective organic investment projects, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, corporate financings, tax considerations, and long-range corporate budgets
  • Assist in the planning and execution of capital markets and financing transactions (debt, equity, equity-linked securities, and interest rate derivatives) including due diligence and pro forma financial analysis
  • Assist in the execution of merger, acquisition, and divestiture transactions (corporate and asset) including due diligence and pro forma financial analysis
  • Assist in the development of presentations for internal (senior management, risk and other internal committees) and external use (investors, rating agencies, strategic partners)
  • Participate in meetings with internal and external partners
  • Perform market, industry, and company specific research
  • Perform additional duties as requested or assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Candidates must have an anticipated graduation date of 2023 or 2024
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3 either overall or within major
  • In pursuit of a bachelor's degree from a 4 year institution, preferences held to disciplines in Finance, Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics
  • Demonstrable interest in finance and a desire to gain practical finance experience
  • No experience in energy or related industries is required
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and ability to interpret financial data
  • Excellent quantitative skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Solid working knowledge of and experience with MS Office applications especially Excel

Education Requirements

  • Must be a student in pursuit of a bachelor's degree from a 4 year institution, preferences held to disciplines in Finance, Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics
