We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

This role supports senior executive management within the External Affairs and Corporate Communications department with managing day-to-day activities. 

Specific responsibilities include:
 

  • Coordinates special events and serves as liaison for senior department management, including strategic scheduling and event management. 
  • Manages information confidential in nature involving access to knowledge of the most sensitive business information. 
  • Influences effective and efficient decision-making by prioritizing issues based upon criticality and organizing data in a clear, concise manner. 
  • Applies expert knowledge to utilize and/or produce analytical material for discussions with cross functional teams/business unit leadership teams to understand business objectives and/or processes and influence solution strategies, at the consolidation and station levels as applicable/appropriate.
  • Develops meeting agendas for staff meetings and leadership team meetings. 
  • May assist with preparing presentations and speeches for use with internal and external audiences, to include the Board of Directors, Governmental officials, senior leaders and investors.
  • Assists in planning, coordinating, and troubleshooting activities and issues as directed. 
  • Ensures that matters raised by field personnel are handled expeditiously and routed properly to appropriate senior management personnel. 
  • Provides interim "stop" for information and to expedite information downstream.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

5+ years directly related experience.  Note:  A partial year of experience of six months or more will be rounded up to one year of experience.

Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:
 

  • Excellent analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with limited supervision.
  • Aptitude for collaboration and managing relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Advanced knowledge of writing, public speaking and public relations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills (including MS Office).
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Demonstrated administrative skills.
  • Ability to identify public issues that potentially affect company.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and implement special events.
  • Ability to exercise diplomacy and responsibility in all facets of job.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Associate's Degree
