Enterprise Administrator (Email Administration)

Job Summary

Note:  The position can be located in Richmond VA or Cayce (Columbia), SC.

This position is for an Office 365 Exchange Engineer / Administrator, responsible for day-to-day administration and management of the centralized Microsoft Exchange 2016 system and Office365/Exchange Online administration in a hybrid environment.

Specific responsibilities include anti-spam/anti-virus, archiving, mobile device support, and bulk e-mail systems utilizing technologies to ensure efficient mail flow and delivery to internal and external organizations.  Successful candidate will be required to provide technical guidance and assistance to service stakeholders.  

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

5+ years of related experience working with MS Exchange Online.  Note:  A Master's degree will count as one year towards the experience requirement.  A partial year of six months or more experience will be rounded up to one year.


Specific qualifications include: 
 

  • Extensive knowledge of Exchange in a hybrid environment. 
  • In-depth knowledge of all Microsoft 365 applications: SharePoint, MS Teams, OneDrive, etc. 
  • In-depth knowledge of PowerShell scripting and scripting automation. 
  • Knowledge of Exchange 2010/2013/2016, Office 365/Exchange Online, and supporting services. 
  • Experience with collaboration services utilizing MS Teams and Cisco Webex and other related based service offerings. 
  • Administration of email encryption services and technologies. 
  • Knowledge in PowerShell; create and maintain scripts/ application code utilizing PowerShell or appropriate coding language for administration and operation of email related services. 
  • Resource should be proficient in troubleshooting Exchange and scripting with PowerShell. 
  • Create and document policies and procedures, system drawings and develop end-user training documents.  
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills  
  • Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2019 • MS Exchange 2016, MS Exchange 2019 • Outlook Client 
  • On-call during non-business hours will be required.
  • Perform certain work duties outside normal business hours from home or at the office will be required.

  • Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience are encouraged to apply.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:  Bachelor


Preferred Disciplines:  Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Related professional certification(s) in Office 365, Office 2016 or related areas desired.
