We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
This role is an intermediate and fully proficient progression level in the Engineering Technical Specialist series. Distinguished from the Engineering Technical Specialist I by the increased complexity in the application of technical and engineering skills and knowledge. Performs moderate to complex work requiring demonstrated proficient technical skills and knowledge and experience within the functional area or specific engineering discipline. This role does not function as a technician in modifying, operating or maintaining systems or equipment.
This role resides within the Electric Distribution Grid Planning organization and will be responsible for a range of electric engineering model (Synergi Electric) administrative activities. Including:
• Maintain Synergi electric load-flow model integrity
• Provide first-level user support for software programs used throughout the Grid & Technical Solutions organization.
• User account maintenance
• Main contact for integration maintenance / system administration processes
• Correct errors assigned to model administration groups
• Coordinate error cleanup with other groups
• Work with feedback from model users to prioritize data integrity issues and remediation
• Manage periodic processes – schedule, implement, document
• First-line support for model issues
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated competencies in applicable discipline.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, theories and practices.
- Knowledge of relational databases and basic programming concepts.
- Ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering and technology to solve broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline.
- Ability to design systems, components or processes meeting specified needs to broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline.
- Effective oral, written and graphical communication skills including technical writing;
- Ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature.
- Abiility to conduct standard tests, measurements and experiments.
- Ability to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes.
- Ability to function effectively independently and as a member on a technical team.
- Organization and project management skills.
In order to be a titled Engineering Technical Specialist, you must meet one of the following criteria:
- 4-year Engineering Technology degree or 4-year degree in Engineering (not ABET-accredited); or
- 4-year degree in Physics, Math, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Engineering or other technical related discipline; or
- 4-year non-technical degree and post-graduate degree in Engineering Technology or Engineering (not ABET-accredited); or
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred degree
